RAB-15 continues to increase its intelligence surveillance and operations to maintain the overall law and order situation in the district in view of the recent occurrence of crimes like robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, robbery and rape in the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar and other upazilas of the district.

In continuation of this, on the night of November 20, 2023, a special team of RAB-15 conducted an operation at the place on the basis of secret information that a dacoit group is staying in Kasturighat New Bridge area of ​​Cox’s Bazar Sadar municipality with domestic weapons. On realizing the raid of RAB, the members of the bandits started running away in different directions. At that time, six robbers, including Jaldusya Sardar Abdul Khalek, were chased among the fleeing robbers and 03 locally made LGs, 06 rounds of cartridges, 01 single-barreled guns, 02 guns, 01 ramadas, 02 flashlights, cash 18,300/- were arrested and recovered. Rs and 08 mobile phones.

(3) Md. Ariful Islam (26), father-deceased Shahjahan, Sang-Bar Bazar, Peshkar Para, Sadar, Cox’s Bazar.
(4) Md. Khairul Amin (30), Father-Abul Bacher, Sang-Dakshin Muhuri Para, Sadar, Cox’s Bazar.
(5) Md. Raihan (25), father-Khuilya Mia, Sang- Dakshin Ghonar Para, Ward No. 09, Cox’s Bazar Municipality, A/P- Sang- Dakshin Muhuri Para, Sadar, Cox’s Bazar.

The arrested dacoit gang gathered in the area of ​​Kasturighat new bridge and were armed with indigenous weapons and armed with local weapons and were stationed for the purpose of robbery. It is also known that the dacoit group used to show fear and love of weapons to the tourists and local people by staying at different points of the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar. On verification of records, information is available regarding 09 cases against Abdul Khalek, 05 cases of Saiful Islam @ Saddam, 03 cases of Ariful Islam and 03 cases of Khairul Amin.
