World Human Rights Day is celebrated in Chittagong under the initiative of Jasa Divisional Convening Committee

Human rights are the fundamental rights of human beings. Human rights are the right to express one’s opinion.

December 10 is World Human Rights Day according to the United Nations Declaration. This declaration was adopted in 1948 and is celebrated as World Human Rights Day. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, right to work and education and many more.

On the occasion of the day, under the initiative of “National Journalist Organization” Chittagong Divisional Convenor Committee, Sunday (December 10) at 4 pm in front of the Chittagong Press Club under the chairmanship of the convener of the committee Abdullah Al Faisal and the co-secretary of social welfare affairs of the central committee. Shafiqul Islam conducted the rally and discussion meeting.

Nurul Abshar Tauhid, Advisor Editor of Dainik Swadhin Sangbad Patrika was present as the chief guest and MA Hashem Raju, Bangladesh President of International Human Rights Organization (IHRC) was present as the main speaker. Speakers in the event said, besides ensuring the basic rights and needs of people, maintaining security, freedom and dignity is a human right. Unfortunately, in the 21st century and today in the age of information technology, human rights are being violated in various parts of the world. We have to constantly struggle to establish and protect human rights.
