In continuation of this, a raiding team of RAB-7, Chittagong conducted a special operation on the paved road in Saral Bazar area under Banshkhali police station of Chittagong district on January 01, 2024 at approximately 2230 hours. -Banskhali, District-Chittagong’ was able to be captured. Later, during the interrogation of the arrested accused in front of the present witnesses, the accused was arrested with 03 domestically made firearms and 05 rounds of cartridges as he took them out of the big plastic bag in his custody.

During the initial interrogation of the arrested accused, it is known that he had been using the confiscated weapons for a long time to influence the local area and to provide security for the buying and selling of drugs and the transportation of drug dealers.

The arrested accused and the recovered firearms and ammunition have been handed over to Banshkhali police station of Chittagong district for further legal action.
