As part of the\u00a02nd World Congress of Writers \u2013 \u201cWe Are People of the Same Planet\u201d<\/strong>, taking place on\u00a0September 20\u201321, 2025<\/strong>, the second day will feature\u00a0eight round tables<\/strong>\u00a0bringing together writers, translators, academics, and publishers from around the world to discuss the pressing issues of literature, culture, and humanism.<\/p>\n

The sessions will address key themes such as: the role of\u00a0writers\u2019 unions<\/strong>\u00a0in shaping a new humanism,\u00a0translation<\/strong>\u00a0as a bridge between cultures,\u00a0media and literary journals<\/strong>\u00a0as guides to meaning, and\u00a0education and universities<\/strong>\u00a0as spaces for human development. Special focus will also be given to\u00a0young writers<\/strong>\u00a0and their future vision, to\u00a0book fairs, festivals, and publishing houses<\/strong>\u00a0as arenas of cultural interaction, and to\u00a0drama and cinema<\/strong>\u00a0as powerful channels for humanist storytelling.<\/p>\n

The Congress aims to produce the\u00a0WOW Memorandum<\/strong>\u2014a document of shared values, commitments, and objectives\u2014alongside an\u00a0annual action plan<\/strong>\u00a0of international events, competitions, translation programs, and literary residencies. It will also establish a\u00a0global network of partnerships<\/strong>\u00a0and specialized councils for ethics, translation, youth, and cinema.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Theme:<\/strong>\u00a0Writers\u2019 Unions: From Solidarity to a New Humanistic Design.
Format:<\/strong>\u00a0One moderator, 10\u201315 speakers (3 minutes each = 40 minutes), discussion (40 minutes), then summary and selection of one speaker (10 minutes) for the following session.

      Discussion Topics:<\/strong>\u00a0Media as ally of writers, restoring trust in the printed word, model of the humanist magazine, revival of literary criticism, the role of digital magazines and blogs, international media cooperation, experiences of leading global journals, WOW\u2019s publishing platform, ethics of literary reporting, interaction with new media.<\/p>\n

      Tasks:<\/strong>\u00a0Revive literary criticism as an institution and establish an international association of publications.
      Outcomes:<\/strong>\u00a0WOW International Magazines Network and a review site for humanist literature.<\/p>\n

      \ud83d\udd39\u00a0Roundtable 4<\/strong>
      Theme:<\/strong>\u00a0Education and Universities: Literature as a Path of Human Development.
      Discussion Topics:<\/strong>\u00a0Literature and the humanization of education, books and personality building, moral education for the future, the university as a center of cultural dialogue, integrating WOW texts into curricula, literary workshops in schools and universities, teachers as cultural mediators, digital formats for teaching literature, role of young researchers, international academic cooperation.<\/p>\n

      Theme:<\/strong>\u00a0Young Writers: Tomorrow\u2019s Literature as a Collective Project.
      Discussion Topics:<\/strong>\u00a0New voices between freedom and responsibility, avoiding marginalization of talent, platforms for first appearances, mentoring and guidance, support programs, youth residencies and exchanges, literature\u2019s relationship with the digital generation, global trends in new literature, WOW as a platform for literary emergence, the ethical responsibility of the new generation.<\/p>\n

      Tasks:<\/strong>\u00a0Launch mentoring programs and integrate youth into WOW projects.
      Outcomes:<\/strong>\u00a0A Global Council of Young Writers and a platform for first digital publications.<\/p>\n

      Theme:<\/strong>\u00a0Book Fairs, Festivals, Publishing Houses: Culture as a Space for Interaction.
      Discussion Topics:<\/strong>\u00a0Reviving the book as an event, publishers as curators of the humanist agenda, ethics of literary festivals, new formats for international book fairs, reader engagement in the 21st century, festival alliances, WOW publications promotion program, festivals as arenas for cultural dialogue, digital book presentations, a map of literary events.<\/p>\n

      Tasks:<\/strong>\u00a0Establish a WOW Book Festivals Alliance, expand the publishers\u2019 network, launch the book series\u00a0We Are Humans of One Planet<\/em>, and initiate an annual literary festival on UNESCO\u2019s World Poetry Day.
      Outcomes:<\/strong>\u00a0Promotion of WOW books at fairs and a global map of literary events.<\/p>\n

      Theme:<\/strong>\u00a0Drama and Cinema: The Humanistic Direction of the World Screen.
      Discussion Topics:<\/strong>\u00a0Selection of texts for film production, mechanisms of project pitching, production file from text to screen, partnerships with studios and platforms, financing film projects, festival strategies, the humanist message as a competitive advantage, roadmap for a WOW Film Festival.<\/p>\n
