A grand inauguration of the training course on enhancing the skills and capacity of Bangladesh Police to carry out their electoral duties smoothly was held
A grand inauguration ceremony of the training course on enhancing the skills and capacity of the police to carry out their electoral duties smoothly was held at the Chittagong District Police Lines, Civic Center with the theme of “Police will be in the village, they will vote safely”.

The chief guest of the program was Mr. Md. Ahsan Habib Palash, BPM-Service, DIG (Promoted to the post of Additional IGP), Chittagong Range, Bangladesh Police. He officially inaugurated the training course.

The program was presided over by Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Santu, BPM-Bar, Superintendent of Police, Chittagong District.

A total of 50 trainee members from different police stations and units of Chittagong district are participating in this training course. The trainees will be trained to ensure professionalism, impartiality, public trust, humanity in law enforcement and peaceful elections.

The chief guest said in his speech, “The role of the police in national and local elections is very important. The efficiency, honesty and dedication of the police are essential for organizing a fair, peaceful and impartial election. Such training programs will increase the confidence and ability of the police to perform their duties.”

In the president’s speech, Superintendent of Police Md. Saiful Islam Santu, BPM-Bar said, “Chittagong District Police is always committed to maintaining law and order. Our members will perform their duties impartially to ensure the people’s right to vote during the elections. The presence of the police in the townships during the elections will create trust and security among the people.”

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance), Additional Superintendent of Police (Industrial Area and DB), Hathazari Circle Officer, trainers and other senior officials of the district police were present at the event.

This training program will play an important role in maintaining law and order during the election and ensuring fair voting.
