CMP’s Chandgaon Police Station and Panchlaish Police Station jointly conduct operations, arrest 3 with drugs and weapons

Under the supervision and overall guidance of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Mr. Amirul Islam, a joint operation team of Chandgaon Police Station and Panchlaish Police Station with the assistance of CMP’s SWAT team conducted separate operations at multiple locations from 12.00 noon to 04.00 am on 09/10/2025 and were able to recover a large amount of weapons, ammunition, drugs and other evidence. The raids were conducted in the third floor room above the fish market behind Bahaddarhat Kacha Bazar under Chandgaon Police Station, in the last room on the east side of the second floor of the building of the Yunus Company on Sawmil Goli Yunus Company Building on Shulkabahar Haji Ayub Ali Sawdagar Road with the help of Panchlaish Police Station, on the paved road adjacent to the pond in front of the Jan Mohammad Chakladar Jame Mosque in the same area, and in front of the fish market in Kalamia Bazar with the help of Baklia Police Station. Confirming the matter through a press release, Chittagong Metropolitan Police said that terrorist and drug dealer Shahidul Islam Buishya and one of Ayub Ali’s associates 1. Md. Belal (28), 2. Hridoy Barua (30) and 3. Md. Azad (23) were arrested in the raid and the accused 1. Shahidul Islam P. Buishya (23) 2. Ayub Ali (41) 3. Md. Idris (23) 4. Md. Yasin (23) 5. Shibu (27) 6. Md. Rakib (22), 7. Md. Sabuj (27), 8. Md. Russell (21), 9. Emon Chhoto Emon (22), 10. Md. Kamrul (24), 11. Md. Russell (23), 12. Hafizul Islam (24), 13. Md. Munna (26), 14. Md. Habib (20), 15. Md. Yasin Chhoto Yasin (20), 16. Md. Murad (22), 17. Md. Azim (22), 18. Md. Fahim (27), 19. Shahab Uddin Shabu (21), 20. Hiru (35), 21. Md. Shakib Alam (22) and 6/7 unidentified people, including a total of 24 people, escaped. A total of 13 weapons of various types were recovered from the custody of the arrested accused, including 5 foreign pistols, 1 foreign single-barreled short gun, 2 foreign single-barreled long guns, 2 domestically made short gun-like pipe guns, 1 domestically made short shooter gun, and 2 domestically made single-barreled long guns. In addition, 58 live cartridges of guns, 2 shells, 13 pistol magazines, 95 pistol bullets, 9 crackers, 4,20,000/- in cash, 1 money counting machine, 2 walkie-talkies, 1 drone, 7 CCTV cameras, 2 DVRs, 2 drill machines, 1 electric cutter, 1 rod cutter, 1 knife, 4 ranges of different sizes, 1 monitor, 2 pliers, 1 tip knife, 12 iron rods of different sizes, 3,500 pieces of Yaba, 1,100 pieces of marijuana (weighing 5 kg 500 grams) and 1 motorcycle were recovered. Against the arrested and absconding accused 1. Chandgaon Police Station Case No. 13, Date-10/10/2025, Section- The Arms Act 1878 19(a) (f)/19A, 2. Chandgaon Police Station Case No. 14, dated 10/10/2025, Section 10 (b)/19 (b)/41 of Table 36 (1) of the Narcotics Control Act of 2018 has been registered and is in the process of being sent to the learned court.
Arrested accused 3. Md. Azad (23) has 02 cases of arms and robbery against him in Panchlaish Police Station of CMP.

Absconding accused:
. Shahidul Islam P. Buishya (23) has 19 cases of arms, drugs, and anti-terrorism against him in Chandgaon Police Station and multiple cases against him in various police stations of CMP.
. Ayub Ali (41) has 18 cases of arms, drugs, and anti-terrorism against him in Chandgaon Police Station and one case against him in various police stations of CMP.
. Md. Idris (23) has 09 cases of arms, drugs, and anti-terrorism against him in Chandgaon Police Station.
. There are 05 cases against Md. Yasin (23) at Chandgaon Police Station for weapons, drugs and terrorism.
. There are 04 cases against Shibu (27) at Chandgaon Police Station for weapons, drugs and terrorism.
