Unit for Young Journalists held a digital journalist training workshop and a reception for eminent personalities

On the occasion of November 25, the Day of Revenge against Women, a seminar and reception titled “The Role of Media in Preventing Violence Against Women” and a digital journalism training workshop were held on Tuesday, November 25 at 3 pm at the Shahbag National Museum Kabi Sufia Kamal Auditorium under the initiative of Monthly Manab Jiban, Manab Jiban.com and Unity for Young Journalists. The workshop was attended by 30 journalists from different districts and upazilas. In addition, the country’s 25th honor and the 25th honor were presented to eminent persons of the country.
The event was presided over by the organization’s advisor and professor of the Department of Zoology, DU, Justice Faisal Mahmud Faizi, former judge of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and the main discussant was Ekushey Padak-winning Nazrul Sangeet artist Professor Ferdous Ara.
Bangla TV director Mir Shams Shantanu, Dhaka 7 constituency MP candidate Haji Mohammad Monir Hossain, popular news anchors Farzana Karim and Lion M Alamgir, and Griha Sukhan chairman Rima Zulfiqar were present as special guests.
The event was graced by the welcome address of the organization’s president, Bangladesh Television reporter Nasir Uddin, Manabjiban.com editor and organization’s secretary general Imdadul Haque Tayyab, and treasurer RK Mondal.
After the discussion, the chief guest of the event handed over crests, certificates, and uttaria to the meritorious students and trainees.
