The Navy has been conducting regular operations in the areas under its responsibility to maintain the overall security and law and order situation in the country. In continuation of this, the Navy conducted an operation in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar and recovered a large amount of firearms.

Based on secret information, it was learned that a large amount of domestic and foreign weapons were stored in the house of top terrorist Mizan alias *Lomba Mizan* of Uluchamari Konapara area in Hnila Union of Teknaf Upazila. On receiving the information, the Navy’s Specialized Force SWADS and Navy Contingent Teknaf conducted an operation at the house of top terrorist Lomba Mizan yesterday (05-12-25) night. During the operation, a search was conducted at the residence of top terrorist Lomba Mizan and foreign pistol- 01, domestic pistol- 02, single-barrel gun- 01, grenades 40 mm HE MG-3- 07, grenades 40 mm HE MG-4- 03, live ammunition- 43 rounds, pistol magazine- 01, pistol balls- 02 rounds, blank cartridges- 20 rounds and 03 domestic sharp weapons were recovered. The recovered weapons were handed over to Teknaf Police Station for further legal action.

It is to be noted that in the implementation of the instructions of the current government, the Bangladesh Navy is working relentlessly to prevent all types of criminals including drugs and weapons in its areas of responsibility. Such activities of the Navy will continue in the future as well.
