District Police felicitates Police Freedom Fighters and Martyr Families of Chittagong District

Today, on 17 December 2025, at the Civic Center of Chittagong District Police Lines, the District Police felicitated Police Freedom Fighters and Martyr Families born in Chittagong District in recognition of their heroic contribution and sacrifice in the Great War of Independence.

In the program titled ‘Police Freedom Fighters’, a total of 38 Police Freedom Fighters and Martyr Families were felicitated and felicitated by Mr. Mohammad Nazir Ahmed Khan, Superintendent of Police, Chittagong.

 While delivering his speech at the event, the Superintendent of Police said with deep respect and gratitude, “The sacrifice and bravery of the brave members of the police force in the Great Liberation War will remain forever etched in the pages of history. It is in exchange for their blood and sacrifice that we have got an independent and sovereign Bangladesh. The brave police freedom fighters and the family members of the martyrs are an eternal source of pride and inspiration for us.”

He also said, “The brave police freedom fighters are the sons of the sun of this country. It is the moral responsibility of the present and future generations of police members to work for the welfare of the country and the people by carrying the spirit of the Liberation War.”

At the reception, the brave police freedom fighters, in their speeches, recalled the outstanding bravery, sacrifice and important role of the police in the Great Liberation War, which touched the hearts of all present.

At that time, senior officials of the Chittagong District Police and other invited guests were present at the event.
