Bangladesh Human Rights Commission Lohagara Upazila Branch held a meeting with the Lohagara administration and political leaders.
On Tuesday, September 16, it started at 11:30 am in the hall room of the Lohagara Upazila Model Mosque.
The program was held under the chairmanship of Lohagara Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Saiful Islam and was attended by former MP of Satkania Lohagara Alhaj Shahjahan Chowdhury as the chief guest. The main speaker was Bangladesh Human Rights Commission Lohagara Upazila President Professor Hamidur Rahman. BRDV Chairman Mohammad Abdullah, Jamaat Islami Lohagara Upazila Secretary Maulana ANM Noman, Agriculture Officer Kazi Mohammad Shafiul Islam, Animal Resources Officer Dr. Shibli Bhushan Das, Upazila Former Vice Chairman Maulana Nurul Absar Chowdhury, Bangladesh Human Rights Commission Lohagara Upazila Secretary Maulana MD Junayed Chowdhury, Lohagara Police Inspector (Investigation) Mohammad Rabiul Alam Khan, Lohagara Upazila Press Club President Saifullah Chowdhury, Chowdhury Mohammad Saleh, Shaha Alam and Qutub Uddin were present as special guests at the event.
The event, which was moderated by Master Mohammad Faruk, Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Human Rights Commission, Lohagara Upazila and held with the recitation of the Quran by Maulana Musa Torain, was graced by Advocate Naushad Ali, Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Human Rights Commission, Lohagara Upazila, Engineer Muhammad Mamun Uddin, Advocate Zamir Uddin, National Citizen Party (NCP) Lohagara Upazila Chief Coordinator Mohammad Zahir Uddin, Barahatia UP member Mohammad Aziz, prominent businessman Nurul Haque of Padua Bazar, Master Mohammad Nasir Uddin, President of Lohagara Reporter Unity Hossain Mehedi, Vice President of the Commission Mohammad Nuruchchafa, Organizer Abdul Mannan, Aryan Hasan and Human Rights activist Mohammad Abbas Uddin, among others.
Numerous human rights leaders, activists, journalists, civil society and officials from various departments of the Upazila administration were present at the event.
The guests at the event delivered important speeches on the protection of human rights at the exchange of views meeting.
