US Charge d’Affaires ad interim to Bangladesh visits Air Force Base Zahurul Haque, Chittagong to inspect “Operation Pacific Angel 25-3”

Today, September 16, 2025 (Tuesday), US Charge d’Affaires ad interim to Bangladesh, Tracey Ann Jacobson, arrived at Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque, Chittagong to inspect the ongoing 7-day joint exercise “Operation Pacific Angel 25-3” involving the Bangladesh Air Force and the US Pacific Air Force. During this time, she visited various SMEE (Subject Matter Expertise Exchange) sites and closely observed SMEE activities Search & Rescue Maritime and Flood Operation and Crew Resource Management. Finally, she exchanged greetings with the members of the Air Forces of the two countries. During the visit, in addition to senior officials from the US Embassy, ​​the Air Commander of Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque, concerned officers and members, and members of the US Pacific Air Force were present.

It is to be noted that the exercise is being held with the participation of a C-130J transport aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force, an MI-17 helicopter, and two C-130J transport aircraft of the Pacific Air Force, and a total of 150 members of the Bangladesh Air Force and 92 members of the US Pacific Air Force, which will continue until September 18, 2025.
